The main purpose of the Olympus Governance application is to transition from multisig management to a more decentralized on-chain governance model. This shift allows tokenholders to propose, vote on, and implement changes to the Olympus V3 system through a structured governance framework. The gOHM token plays a crucial role in this process, enabling users to participate in governance by voting and serving as collateral for Cooler Loans. Additionally, Olympus employs a modified version of Compound’ Governor Bravo, which includes dynamic thresholds for proposal requirements based on the gOHM supply, ensuring that governance remains adaptable to changes in token distribution.
